Missing Florida teen told pal she was being followed
A 15-year-old Florida girl went missing after telling a friend she was being followed to school.
Missing from Treasure Coast High School in Port St. Lucie on Monday morning, authorities say Saige Stiles called her buddy to say she was on her way.
The companion contacted 911 soon before 7 a.m. to say Saige had said she felt followed.
After responding to the call, officers discovered the teen’s bag and mobile phone on the pavement.
Surveillance video shows Saige strolling behind several residences at 7:30 a.m.
“At the moment, [the kid] did not seem to be in imminent danger,” police added.
It’s unknown whether Saige was kidnapped or fled.
Her whereabouts remain unknown.
Cops claimed they talked to the missing teen’s buddy and father, both of whom were cooperative.
“We are intensively investigating the region and trying to locate Saige,” police stated Monday afternoon.
