This gold certification marks a significant breakthrough for Oxlade, making him one of the few Nigerian artists to achieve RIAA Gold status, awarded to artists who surpass 500,000 units sold in the US.
My Lo Sa has enjoyed phenomenal success globally, amassing over 400 million streams on Spotify and 187 million views on YouTube across two music videos. Meanwhile, featured on Oxlade’s debut album Oxlade From Africa, Stand Up has cemented the singer’s status as a leading voice in Afrobeats. The album boasts collaborations with notable artists such as Wande CoalFlavour, Bobby Wine, Fally Ipupaand To Popca.
Additionally, Oxlade joins an elite group of Nigerian artists with RIAA certifications. This is alongside CKay, whose hit single Love Nwantiti holds 7x platinum status.
Lastly, this achievement shows Oxlade’s growing global influence and reinforces Afrobeats’ increasing presence in the international music landscape.
