Positronic MACH-D

Positronic MACH-D connections from FC Lane for extreme environments like military and deep space

For durability and electromagnetic compatibility, MACH-D MIL-DTL-24308 style D-Subminiature connectors are made of machined aluminium or stainless steel.

England’s HORSHAM – For severe environments such as defence electronics, commercial aviation, medical equipment, and deep space, Positronic, an Amphenol firm in Springfield, Mo., is releasing the MACH-D connector through electronics distributor FC Lane Electronics in Horsham, England.

All D-Subminiature connections made to MACH-D Standard’s MIL-DTL-24308 specifications have machined aluminium or stainless steel shells for long-lasting accuracy, planarity, and electromagnetic compatibility.

MACH-D connections are compatible with M24308-type standard D-Subs and frequently perform better than the minimal standards specified in MIL-DTL-24308. Additionally, MACH-D connectors are mechanically equivalent to and comparable in performance to Glenair’s Series 28 HiPer-D connectors.

Connector specifications for space electronics in extreme environmental conditions

Standard and high-density signal contact arrangements, hybrid variants that combine power and signal in a single connector body, and bespoke configurations are all available for the Positronic MACH-D connections.

Keyed jackscrews, rear silicone grommets, interfacial seals, EMI grounding strips, and a 360-degree banding feature are among the options available for MACH-D connections when space restrictions prevent the installation of a full-size backshell.
