THE HERO WILL BE THE ELEVENTH TANK IN OVERWATCH 2.
Ramattra, the next hero in Overwatch 2, will be released next month.
The tank-class hero will be a character who has been a part of the Overwatch lore for over three years, having first appeared during the Storm Rising event.
Ramattra, who was revealed during the Overwatch League Grand Finals, will join the roster on December 6.
The second season of content for the game will also begin on this date.
Ramattra’s character description reads, “Originally a war machine, Ramattra shed his munitions for a shield to protect his people by promoting peace and tranquilly.”
“His ideals were not dissimilar to those of his fellow Shambli monk, Zenyatta.
Ramattra’s story, on the other hand, is one of hardship, trauma, and a magnified view of humanity’s harsh realities.
“Dissonance replaced harmony, and Ramattra began to approach his convictions from a more pragmatic standpoint, justifying any means necessary to protect his fellow omnics.”
Ramattra has tremendous support from his people as the leader of Null Sector, and he is ready to impose his philosophies on our world.”
It’s unclear whether players will have to unlock the ability to play as Ramattra in competitive play, as they did with Kiriko, the new hero introduced in season 1.
Blizzard claims that over 25 million people played Overwatch 2 during its first ten days of availability.
Despite the numerous issues that have plagued Overwatch 2 since its release, the game has maintained a high level of engagement.
