Rich Homie Quan‘s memory will continue to live on through his music, and on Monday (Sept. 30), fans received a brand new posthumous visual for his “Song Cry” track. The Marcell B-directed clip features emotional footage from his funeral service, as well as cameos from friends like Boosie Badazz and DC Young Fly.

Throughout the video, highlights of the Atlanta rapper’s life and career are shown, including scenes of him recording hits in the studio, rocking the crowd at his shows, riding around in luxury cars, and more.

“I had to put on my shades to hide these tears/ And I don’t pop on the gram ’cause that’s how guys get killed/ Let me roll my weed so I can fake my feelings/ This lifestyle I live, real, I can’t fake this here,” Quan raps in the song’s vulnerable chorus. “This a song cry/ I know you hear that sh*t/ Listen to the song cry/ You gotta feel that sh*.” In his verse, he raps about seeing his homie die, being in a “sticky situation” in Canada, and other feelings that weigh on his mind.

The life of the “Type Of Way” rapper was celebrated in a going home ceremony on Sept. 17 in South Fulton, Ga. The agenda was filled with heartwarming initiatives, including The Atlanta City Council declaring Sept. 17 as Rich Homie Quan Memorial Day, as well as speeches from figures like Killer Mike, DC Young Fly, Stephen Jackson, and more.

Rich Homie Quan died at the age of 33 on Sept. 5. The beloved rapper was best known for his hit singles “Type A Way,” “Flex,” and “Lifestyle” with Young Thug. He earned one award nomination from iHeartRadio and BET, plus four BET Hip-Hop Awards nominations.
