Ridge is struck over the head by destiny, and Hope and Thomas form a bond.

Tuesday, October 4, 2022: On The Bold and the Beautiful, Steffy and Taylor arrive in Aspen, Brooke and Liam worry about Thomas finding Hope, and Hope unwittingly captures Thomas.

 

At Forrester, Ridge walks in and informs Thomas that Brooke had lied to him once more. Thomas apologises and expresses surprise that she didn’t confess when they heard her name. I know, Ridge thumps his fist against the table. If he called her out on it, Thomas inquires. Ridge gave her the opportunity to confess, but she maintained she had no idea who might have placed the call. Even for Brooke, Thomas thinks this is a new low, so he inquires as to what his father said. Ridge sighs. What was the point of him saying nothing? She lied to him face-to-face and over the phone. Thomas observes as he leaves the room to reflect.

 

At home, Brooke schedules a romantic supper for her and Ridge in a secluded cabana by the sea. When Liam enters, she tells him that she and her spouse need some alone time. When he inquires as to where Hope is, Brooke replies that she went to the workplace. That indicates she is with Thomas, Liam sighs. Brooke wonders whether Thomas is doing everything he can to keep her there because he wants to go over and see for himself. Hope wants so badly to think he has changed, Liam muses. She merely wants everything to go smoothly. Although Ridge, Taylor, and Steffy believe Thomas is harmless, Brooke gripes that she will never be able to trust him. The Douglas predicament is discussed. Brooke considers that there are some circumstances that Thomas cannot influence. Everything has been going Brooke’s way recently, he muses. Liam senses that Hope is once more exposed to Thomas. Brooke believes that it is time to push back and let Thomas know that he cannot always get his way.

 

When Steffy notices Taylor on the plane seems preoccupied, she begs her to “Talk to me.” She hopes her folks were away on a special vacation. You’re killing me, Taylor tells her. Ridge wants more for herself now that she is married.

 

Steffy gripes that Taylor and Ridge are in love and that Ridge is married to a woman who can’t help but touch and kiss other men. She’s tired of hearing people talk about “destiny,” and she believes her father will soon recognise Brooke for who she really is. Steffy implores her mother to have faith in Ridge and their relationship.

 

When Hope enters the office at Forrester, Thomas has coffee on his shirt and is getting it off. She heard that CPS was visiting the home, so she came to see him.

 

An upset Ridge paces around the sofa at the Forrester home, drops his keys on the table, and then goes outside to the terrace where he stands sobbing and shaking his head. “Brooke, why would you do this? Why? We’ve each given the other so much grace. Again, here we are. How am I spending my life?

She doesn’t want Thomas to get away with anything this time at Brooke’s house. Liam gripes that he has the Forrester family as a whole on his side and is close to Hope. For the sake of Douglas in particular, Brooke believes they must keep cautioning Hope about Thomas.

 

Hope observes Thomas at Forrester as he dons a dark shirt and relates that he was using a pocketknife to cut up an apple when Brooke entered and became alarmed. He would never permit Douglas to handle or experiment with the knife. Then CPS arrived. He didn’t want Douglas to be in that situation, but he was unable to prevent it. Thomas thinks she’s mad at him. Hope assures him that she is not because she doesn’t think he would endanger their son. This is amazing, in Thomas’ opinion. It’s incredible that they have progressed this far. “Hope, thank you. I greatly appreciate it. Hope beams.
