Sell-out musical to return to Oxford New Theatre next year

Flaunt Weeekly A sell-out musical is returning to Oxford next year, the New Theatre has announced.

International hit SIX The Musical will return to the city in 2025 from Tuesday, December 9 until Saturday, December 13.

The announcement was made this week following the two previous sold-out runs at the New Theatre.

The smash hit musical is winner of over 35 international awards, including the Tony Award for ‘Best Original Score’ and ‘Best Costume Design’, and double winner of the Whatsonstage Award for ‘Best West End Show’ and a Gold-Disk winning album.

The musical surrounds six wives of Henry VIII taking to the mic to tell their tales, remixing five hundred years of historical heartbreak into a 21st century 80-minute show.

Theatre director David O’Hara said: “We are thrilled to announce the return of the international smash hit musical SIX to New Theatre Oxford next December, following two previous sold-out runs.

“This royal return during the festive season is especially exciting, offering our audiences the chance to experience this extraordinary production at a magical time of year.

“It is a perfect edition to what is already shaping up to be an incredible 2025 for our theatre.”
