South African Musician Yallunder Dies

Celebrated South African singer and songwriter Yolanda Nyembezi, professionally known as Yallunder, has died.

She passed away on 13 March 2025 at Charlotte Maxeke Academy Hospital.

Yallunder’s sudden untimely death was confirmed today by Sifiso Vee Vilakazi on Facebook.

Hi All,

We are deeply saddened to announce the untimely passing of our loved one uYolanda Nyembezi on the 13th of March 2025 at Charlotte Maxeke Academy Hospital.

Proceedings of the memorial and burial will be shared by the family. Please do allow the family and friends privacy during this difficult time.

Our sincere condolences to all those that loved and celebrated Yolanda’s life,” reads the Facebook post.
