spill tab has shared her new single ‘PINK LEMONADE’.
The LA-based artist recently launched a new era, signing with powerhouse label Because Music. Last year’s ‘Klepto’ EP epitomised her alt-pop vision, the lyrical over-sharing turning spill tab into a queen for her online fanbase.
The French-Korean singer, songwriter, and producer just shared something, taking the energy of her recent live performances – supporting Sabrina Carpenter – into the studio with her.
Out now, ‘PINK LEMONADE’ extends from a chaotic recording session, with the open-ended jam – a 40-minute sound piece – whittled down to something resembling a pop song.
It’s a song about feeling dislocated from your own psyche, with spill tab – Claire Chicha to her friends – leaning into escapism.
She notes…
‘PINK LEMONADE’ was made on a chaotic day at John’s back house studio. We took a 40-minute jam, cut it up, spliced it around, and used that as the foundation, adding more quirky guitar lines and unconventional drums. It’s fitting because the song is about feeling discombobulated in life—feeling disconnected from my body, anxious, and wanting to escape into the cracks of the couch.
Tune in now.
