Spoilers from the Impact TV taping: Bound for Glory gets the main event

The next two weeks of Impact on AXS were filmed on Saturday in Chicago.

The following details the consequences of Friday’s Emergence special from the tapings of Impact TV on Saturday in Chicago, Illinois.

The big announcement is that Eddie Edwards and Josh Alexander, the current Impact World Champion, will square off in the main event of October’s Bound for Glory.

By triumphing in a six-way elimination battle against Bandido, Sami Callihan, and other former Impact World Champions, Edwards won a berth in the tournament.

Ace Austin of Bullet Club’s Rosemary was defeated by Gisele Shaw, while Hikuleo triumphed over Zicky Dice and Johnny Swinger. Impact dates for August 18 and August 25:

Mike Bailey, the X-Division Champion, defeated Chris Bey.
Kenny King was beaten by Heath. Eddie Edwards and PCO’s ongoing conflict helped Heath avoid getting hurt anymore.
Savannah Evans was defeated by Killer Kelly.
Eddie Edwards defeated Steve Maclin, Moose, Rich Swann, Bandido, and Sami Callihan in a six-person no. 1 contender’s elimination match.
Deonna Purrazzo and Chelsea Green, the knockouts tag team champions, defeated Mia Yim and Jordynne Grace.
Mike Bennett was defeated by Karl Anderson
Alisha Bhupinder was defeated by Jessicka Havok. An improvement talent was vanquished by Gujjar. Curt Hawkins, the Digital Media Champion, came out and promised Gujjar a title fight, but the referee held out until he was coerced into starting it. Although Gujjar defeated Hawkins and exited the arena with the title, the announcement of the title change was not made there.
Josh Alexander defeated Vincent in a non-title match to become the Impact World Champion. As Edwards was attempting to enlist Alexander in HNM, Heath attacked him.
Black Taurus won a four-way match against Trey Miguel, Laredo Kid, and Rey Horus that might have given him a shot at the X-Division title.
Violent By Design was beaten by Motor City Time Splitters (KUSHIDA, Alex Shelley, and Chris Sabin) (Doering, Deaner & Eric Young)

Other:

The following was hinted to during the announcer portions and is believed to have been recorded or carried out during the tapings on August 26 and 27 in Dallas, Texas:

The future of Mickie James will be discussed.
Masha Slamovich will take part in a match between the top contenders.
Maria is prohibited from watching the upcoming Good Brothers vs. OGK Impact Tag Team title bout since Sami Callihan challenged both Steve Maclin and Moose to a barbed wire battle.
