Systems Engineering Associates was awarded the U.S. Navy’s contract for an electromagnetic warfare system.

Rhode Island’s MIDDLETOWN. According to a Defense Department contract release, Systems Engineering Associates Corp. (SEACORP) has been awarded a $24.5 million contract from the U.S. Navy for the Electromagnetic Maneuver Warfare Modular Suite (EMWMS).

EMWMS is a combat management system with electromagnetic warfare capabilities on land, sea, and in the air that is housed in a cargo container.

According to the deal release, “This contract provides for the development of EMWMS as a mobile, reconfigurable experimental and operational unit tailored toward specific EMW capabilities and missions.” It will be suitable for long-term use in one place or for deployable missions onboard manned and unmanned air, land, and sea platforms that require rolling on and off.

The contract would be worth $79 million and extend until 2027 if all options were exercised.
