Don’t put your faith in Jenelle Evans.
The reality star, 30, will not appear on the new reality show “Teen Mom: The Next Chapter,” which combines “Teen Mom OG” and “Teen Mom 2” into one, due to a contract dispute, according to TMZ.
MTV reportedly wanted to sign the “Teen Mom 2” alum to an exclusive contract, but her manager stated that “it would have limited Jenelle’s other career opportunities.”
That doesn’t mean the mother of three has given up on reality television forever, as she reportedly “has a new dynamic series in development, (but is) keeping the concept under wraps for the time being.”
Her agent boasted that his client’s show had been picked up by a “major network.”
The star previously attempted to maintain her fame by running a YouTube channel and, most recently, launched an OnlyFans account where she posts content with her husband, David Eason.
This comes after former co-star Leah Messer stated that she would love to see Evans return to the show.
“I think I’m curious to see where she’s at in her life, and whatever the executives decide is what they decide.” “I wish her the best,” Messer told Page Six, though she hasn’t kept in touch with Evans, 30, since he was fired by MTV in 2019.
“I haven’t spoken to Jenelle in a long time.” She was a member of the show’s original cast. And I knew her well at the time,” she went on. “I don’t know [her] right now. To be honest, I don’t have a relationship with her right now.”
Evans first gained attention when she appeared on “16 & Pregnant” while pregnant with her son, Jace Vahn Evans. She later appeared in “Teen Mom 2” with Kailyn Lowry, Leah Messer, and Chelsea DeBoer.
Her time on the show, however, was not without controversy.
In 2019, the network severed ties with her after her husband, David Eason, admitted to killing their family dog for allegedly biting their 2-year-old daughter Ensley.
Local authorities in North Carolina were investigating the father of one for animal cruelty. MTV had cut ties with Eason a year before after he sent homophobic tweets.
Evans, who has a son Kaiser with ex Nathan Griffith, wrote about her drug addiction in her 2017 book, “Read Between the Lines: From the Diary of a Teenage Mom.”
She also admitted to testing positive for the drug found in cannabis after having her daughter.
