Leaks from devices might be of any size or type. The Galaxy S23 design leak from yesterday was quite significant, and it might take some time until the Galaxy S23 series is further revealed online. We can tell you a little bit more about the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s main camera until then.
Recently, our colleagues at GalaxyClub confirmed via their sources that the 200-megapixel primary camera on the Galaxy S23 Ultra will be present. If you keep up with our news feed, you are probably aware that there have long been speculations surrounding the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s purported 200MP camera. But now there is more proof that Samsung would in fact deploy a 200MP sensor in its upcoming premium flagship.
The resolution of some Galaxy S23 Ultra sensors won’t be increased.
Samsung has never been in a rush to boost the resolution of mobile cameras because doing so is usually unproductive. While a high-resolution sensor provides its maker some bragging rights, it does not imply better picture quality. Nowadays, software and AI-driven picture processing yields significantly greater rewards than a bigger pixel count, thus the question of whether Samsung’s next flagship phone will feature higher camera resolutions still exists.
The answer appears to be “yes” in terms of the Galaxy S23 Ultra, but not universally. Even some other sensors, such the 10MP 10x optical telephoto camera, will have the same resolutions, the flagship will have a 200MP primary camera. Naturally, we’ll need to wait and observe how these specifications apply to actual usage circumstances. As we’ve previously seen when contrasting the Galaxy Z Flip 4 with the Galaxy S22, Samsung can produce surprisingly admirable outcomes with software.
