Destiny 2

The best exotic character from “Destiny 2” in Season of Plunder is four years old.

News and viewpoints about the internet, television, movies, and video games.

While we also have two weapons, Delicate Tomb and the return of Touch of Malice, what if I told you the best exotic weapon this season is actually four years old? Yesterday, I discussed the new exotic armour components in Destiny 2’s Season of Plunder. In fact, the day is almost here.

Wish-Ender, Sjur Eido’s renowned super bow, was introduced when Shattered Thrones and the Forsaken expansion made their debut in September 2018 together. Sadly, it was very awful. Although it could be used to crack Ahamkara Eggs, it wasn’t very useful in actual combat. A few years later, Wish-Ender saw a very brief period of alteration where the damage it dealt every shot was inflated by about 4-5 times. And even though that only lasted for about two months… now? Kind of, those times are returning.

Wish-utility Ender’s has been greatly increased in addition to its damage increase. This is because to both its new anti-barrier capability and a more recent update that makes all exotic primaries do 40% more damage to foes with red bars. Wish-Ender is now what I would deem the best exotic weapon of the season as a result of everything that has happened.

Here is a summary of the real modifications that Wish-Ender underwent at the beginning of this season:

Intrinsic Anti-Barrier was added.
from 2 to 3 more hits against the majority of the targets (more hits against vehicles, still 2 against players).
10% more damage against majors, champions, and minibosses.
Draw time went from 828 to 820 milliseconds.
What does this actually mean, then? On most targets, an increase in hits from 2-3 results in an increase in damage of around 50%. It wasn’t that high when it was bugged, but the red bar bonus should also be taken into account. I’ve discovered that I can now 1-2 shot chunky opponents like red bar ogres, shriekers, and gladiators, depending on the difficulty level.

Beyond that, it seems robust and is an excellent choice for higher level content thanks to the buff to orange bars, finish-able yellow bars, and champions.

Regarding being anti-barrier, at many difficulty levels, a fully drawn shot can destroy a barrier shield on its own; at worst, two shots are required. Also keep in mind that anti-barrier also has the power to blast through phalanx shields and immune hobgoblins. Wish-Ender can also very successfully hack through match game shields, in my experience. Perhaps not immediately, but veiled red bars? In three to four shots, you can break through those elemental shields.

Is this a superior exotic top slot anti-barrier choice over Arbalest? That might vary on who you question and the circumstances, but in many cases, I’d say…yes. Arbalest is excellent for champions and bonus boss DPS alone. But thanks to both its most recent improvements and the previous red bar damage improvement, Wish-Ender can also safely 1-2 shot a tonne of red bar foes at any stage of the battle. Now, it’s a monster.

Therefore, if yours has been gathering dust in the vault, it is now time to bring it out once more. For the first time, perhaps, Wish-Ender is back.
