The upcoming fourth Captain America movie from Marvel Studios is the first one since Sam Wilson took over as Captain America in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. The movie doesn’t have a name or release date yet, but it now has a director: Julius Onah.
The next Captain America movie will pick up some time after Sam Wilson’s fight with John Walker and the Flag Smashers, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Onah (The Cloverfield Paradox) has signed on to direct the movie. Malcolm Spellman, who wrote The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, and Dalan Musson, who works on the series, will write the script for the new movie with Onah. No other information about Captain America 4 has been made public yet, but it’s possible that Marvel will have more to say about it at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con.
