The conclusion of “The Bachelorette” did not quite result in happily ever after.
The dramatic two-part season finale was witnessed by “The Bachelorette” co-stars Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia.
Both women had a final suitor when the finale first began. While Windey was with Erich Schwer, who appeared hesitant to pop the question to her, Recchia was left with Tino Franco.
Recchia was ready to propose, but she confessed during the live portion of the show that she and Tino had been having issues and that Tino had had an affair. He claimed that he had met the subject before the movie was made and that they had gotten together at a pub and then shared a passionate kiss.
He accused Recchia of not attending therapy, and the two engaged in a fight over the ring. He questioned, “Is there a chance this works out?” before leaving.
He came back only to leave once more.
Until host Jesse Palmer informed Recchia that someone “demanded a chance to talk to you,” runner-up Aven Jones was on stage fighting with Recchia. Recchia ultimately departed with him.
Erich made a marriage proposal to Windey in the interim and afterwards felt good about it.
Palmer confronted him about the reports that people were appearing on the show for job chances, and he called himself a coward for his actions but insisted that his love for Windey was genuine.
Later, Palmer revealed Zach Shallcross, Recchia’s second-place finisher, as the “Bachelor” for the upcoming season. A woman named Brianna received the first impression rose, which was given out by Twitter voters, and as a result, she is guaranteed to survive the first week at the house.
