With Ryanair flights from Dublin Airport just €27.99 and from Cork Airport only €34.99, it makes the perfect last-minute trip.

Ryanair bosses said: “The city where all Spanish traditions live and flourish is located in the southern Andalusia region.

“Famously known for its all-Spanish traditions including flamenco, Don Juan, and Figaro, Seville offers a classic character like no other.”

The popular market was selected as one of the Best Christmas Markets in Spain, along with Madrid and Malaga, according to European Best Destinations.

A spokesperson said: “Each year Nervion’s Christmas market in Seville, receives thousands of views of people attracted by the formidable and careful environment that is created from our beautifully decorated wooden stalls, as well as with the permanent exhibitions of large-format antique signage images that every year as a street exhibition, we perform in the back of the cabins giving a powerful playful, artistic and cultural content to the market.”

The Spanish market boasts Nativity Scenes, musical choirs (campanilleros), and places where you can taste many typical sweets.

Foodies will be spoiled for choice with tapas, paella and festive treats.

The market, with selection of unique gifts and decorations, is the perfect place to pick up something really special.

With a rich historical and artistic heritage, the city has a mystical feel as Christmas lights illuminate the streets.
