Cliff’s brain was imprisoned in a massive robot body, Madame Rouge had joined the team, and the Doom Patrol had access to a time machine when we last saw them. What might possibly fail? Everything is the Doom Patrol as usual.
The squad unexpectedly travels to the future in the upcoming fourth season to discover an unwelcome surprise, according to the only official statement about it. The Doom Patrol must resolve once and for all which is more important: their own happiness or the fate of the world as they face certain death. Additionally, Casey Brinke, a relatively new Doom Patrol member who serves as Danny the Street’s avatar, will be played by Madeline Zima.
Sincerely, I am pleasantly surprised that Doom Patrol escaped HBO Max’s purge. It’s as eccentric and outlandish as the characters themselves because it’s so relentlessly odd and disinterested in superheroes.
The first half of Doom Patrol’s fourth season will premiere on HBO Max on December 8; the second half will follow somewhere in 2023.
