The newest versions of iOS and macOS from Apple give you more control over live sports.

Updates are also available for iPadOS, tvOS, and watchOS.

Apple is still a few weeks away from releasing iOS 16, macOS Ventura, and other major updates, but that doesn’t mean it can’t make one last push for its current software. The company has released iOS 15.6, iPadOS 15.6, and macOS 12.5, all of which give you more control over live sports in the TV app. You can pause, fast-forward, and rewind playback, and you can restart games that are already in progress.

The new software also fixes a bug in Safari that could send a tab back to a page it had been on before. You can expect the usual round of security patches, most of which fix holes that let arbitrary code run. Older versions of macOS, like Big Sur and Catalina, will also get similar patches. New versions of watchOS 8.7 and tvOS 15.6, on the other hand, fix bugs and make general “improvements” for Apple Watch and Apple TV users.

The timing suggests that these may be the last major updates to the software that is already out there. In the past, Apple has released major updates to iOS, macOS, and other software as early as September. However, there are no signs that iOS 15.7 or other similar updates are coming soon. The company is shifting its priorities, which is reflected in the small changes in these latest updates.
