The Orchestra (For Now) have shared their debut single ‘Wake Robin’.
The band are already pivotal figures in the London music scene, with their live shows demonstrating a thrilling sense of abandon. Comparable to Black Country, New Road in terms of their boundary-less ambition, the group nonetheless have a completely distinctive sound, hugely progressive in scope and tone.
Winners of this year’s edition of Green Man Rising, a handful of live clips – some shot at the Brixton Windmill – have sparked online conversation, with The Orchestra (For Now) selling out two nights at London’s historic St Pancras Old Church.
Tonight – November 13th – they play Paper Dress Vintage, headlining the CLASH stage at First Fifty.
‘Wake Robin’ is their debut and it’s an extraordinary eight-minute feast of sound, a cellular piece of songwriting that shifts and evolves while remaining tethered to a deep-rooted foundation.
Each musician seems to have space to commune with the audience, a conversational-piece that traces its own rulebook.
A hugely exciting start, you can tune in now.
