The Oscar-nominated song “Naatu Naatu” from the film “RRR” will be performed during the Academy Awards.

Rihanna, Sofia Carson, and Diane Warren, as well as David Byrne, Stephanie Hsu, and Son Lux, have previously confirmed that they would perform their Oscar-nominated tracks.

 

The Oscar-nominated song “Naatu Naatu,” an Indian Telugu song by RRR, will be performed at the 2023 Academy Awards.

 

“Naatu Naatu” is nominated for best original song, and Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava will perform the song. M.M. Keeravaani composed the song’s melody, and Chandrabose wrote the words.

 

The song defeated Rihanna, Taylor Swift, and Lady Gaga’s songs to win the best original song at the 2023 Golden Globes.

 

David Byrne, Stephanie Hsu, and Son Lux will also perform “This Is a Life,” the Oscar-nominated song from Everything Everywhere All at Once, at the Oscars, as will Rihanna, who will sing “Lift Me Up” from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and Sofia Carson, who will perform “Applause” from Tell It Like a Woman, accompanied by songwriter Diane Warren.

 

Lady Gaga’s “Hold My Hand” from Top Gun: Maverick is the last Oscar candidate for best original song.

 

With 11 nominations, Everything, Everywhere, All at Once leads this year’s Oscar nominees, followed by All Quiet on the Western Front and The Banshees of Inisherin, both with nine, Elvis, with eight, The Fabelmans, with seven, Tár and Top Gun: Maverick, both with six, and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, with five.

 

Jimmy Kimmel will host the 95th Academy Awards, which will stream live on ABC on March 12 at 8 p.m. ET from the Dolby Theatre. Showrunners Glenn Weiss and Ricky Kirshner will executive produce alongside Molly McNearney.
