The Sanderson Sisters (and Billy Butcherson!) Run Amok Again in the Disney+ Sequel Trailer for Hocus Pocus 2

There is no area of Salem, Massachusetts that is safe from the Sanderson sisters’ mayhem in the latest Hocus Pocus 2 trailer, from the woods to the streets to the aisles of Walgreens.

Disney+ unveiled a longer trailer for the beloved 1993 film’s planned sequel on Friday as part of the D23 Expo. The trailer shows more of Winifred, Sarah, and Mary’s shenanigans as they reappear 29 years after the original movie.

The Sanderson sisters, who were first executed in the 17th century, return to Salem in the Disney+ sequel seeking retribution, and it is up to three high school students “to stop the ravenous witches from wreaking a new kind of havoc before dawn on All Hallow’s Eve,” according to the official logline.

The teaser introduces Ted Lasso’s Hannah Waddingham as a witch who knew the Sandersons when they were teenagers in addition to new footage of Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy in their iconic roles. Additionally, if you like the first movie, you’ll want to watch the trailer all the way to the end to see Doug Jones’ return as self-described “good zombie” Billy Butcherson (Star Trek: Discovery).

Friday, September 30 sees the release of Hocus Pocus 2. Watch the entire trailer above, then share your thoughts in the comments!
