The “SNL” cold opening parodies things that make Americans “snap,” such as Joe Biden’s reference to “nuclear Armageddon” and Elon Musk.

The episode’s musical guest was Willow Smith, and actor Brendan Gleeson served as a guest host.

This past weekend, “Saturday Night Live” focused on the tense atmosphere in the nation with a frigid opening that included the game show “So You Think You Won’t Snap?”

In the sketch, the game show’s host (Bowen Yang) kept bringing up genuine headlines to the competitors until one of them ultimately broke down.

Have you noticed how angry and crazy everyone is around you? Yang posed the question with a game-show host grin at the start of the segment. The only thing that can make us feel better is watching a romantic show about Jeffrey Dahmer because people are freaking out at Target and stabbings are back.

The first competitor (Heidi Gardner), whom Yang referred to as one of the only four “people in America who have not yet snapped,” was exposed to news reports that were becoming more and more worrisome regarding a possible nuclear threat from Russia and President Biden’s capacity to handle it.

The host continued, “On Thursday, Biden claimed we are closer than we have been in 60 years to nuclear Armageddon.”

Yang sadistically brought up Biden’s age when Gardner’s character said, “don’t know where to place that in my brain but I adore Biden.”

Highways weren’t around when Joe Biden was born, according to Yang, who also noted that the president didn’t get his first computer until he was 53 years old.

He then showed a genuine video clip of Biden discussing his “mental acuity” on “60 Minutes.”

How would you describe your level of mental focus? Before Biden responds, the “60 Minutes” reporter asks: “Oh, it’s concentrated.” He chuckles and murmurs, “I guess it’s – I haven’t looked,” at that point.

White House defends Biden’s comment about “Armageddon,” saying there is no indication RUSSIA SETTING UP FOR USE

Gardner is then seen frantically downing a glass of wine in the sketch.

A second contestant (Chloe Fineman) lost it when she learned about Herschel Walker’s abortion claim, 86% of children say their dream job is to be a social media influencer, and Chris Pratt plays Mario in the newest animated film. At that point, the fake game show gave her permission to hit a flight attendant as a parody of recent angry passenger outbursts.

Kenan Thompson, the third contender, lost his cool after hearing the name “Elon Musk.”

An enraged Thompson yelled, “That man needs to shut his mouth!” Take your a— to Mars then, rich person bragging about getting there!

The host bringing up Ye, the artist formerly known as Kanye West, caused the final contender (Davon Walker) to become anxious. He wasn’t concerned by the news that 401(k)s are down by 20% or that the Mars corporation has revealed that in the “interest of diversity” the orange M&M has anxiety.

After the host stated that Ye dubbed Lizzo fans “demonic,” Walker’s character remarked, “It’s OK, I still like his music.”

Walker responded, “Ok, it’s nice, yeah, that’s good right,” when the host continued, “Kanye West also recently founded a private school.”

And he claims he’s never read a book in his life, the host said.

After the host showed him a picture of Ye wearing the contentious “White Lives Matter” t-shirt at a fashion show in Paris last week, Walker—a Black man—finally lost his cool.

The episode’s guest host was Brendan Gleeson, and during his monologue from “The Banshees of Inisherin,” Colin Farrell dropped by to sing a song with him.

Musician Willow Smith was present.
