Afrobeats queen Tiwa Savage has shared insights into her early music career, revealing she initially compromised her sound to fit audience expectations but thanked Don Jazzy.
In an interview with Tacha (Natacha Akide) on Cool FM, Tiwa Savage confessed that, unlike her early days, she now creates music on her own terms as an established artist.
Additionally, recalling her collaboration with Don Jazzy on the hit song EminateTiwa Savage revealed she initially disliked the track but Don Jazzy insisted on its inclusion in her album. However, the song’s subsequent success left her surprised.
Meanwhile, Tiwa praised Don Jazzy’s market understanding, admitting she often reluctantly acknowledges his instincts.
Also, the interview sparked a lighthearted moment when Don Jazzy complimented Tiwa’s appearance in the comments, saying: “See as person fresh. Fresh Queen.”
