TOM HOLLAND IS PERFECTLY CAST BY AN AI PROGRAM AS THE LEGEND OF ZELDA’S LINK.

Artificial intelligence-based art is generating a lot of discussion. Many people were duped by one artist’s skillful usage of the AI programme Midjourney into believing that Tom Holland would be playing Link in a The Legend of Zelda Netflix movie. Sincerely, we would watch it. It’s not real, which is unfortunate. Yet. After all, Holland has a history of landing dream roles, including his most well-known one as Spider-Man. However, it’s possible that Dan Leveille’s AI art will pave the way for this to become a reality. He distributed several posters depicting Holland as the Hylian hero. The character designs are great overall, yet they differ in terms of realism and ear pointiness.

These incredible “preview photographs” were shown to us on Geeks Are Sexy. Let’s add “Tom Holland as Link in a Legend of Zelda movie” to our wish list while we wait for that Breath of the Wild sequel. Other AI artwork by Leveille can be found on her Instagram page, which also features realistic renderings of Super Mario and alternate incarnations of Link.

After the artwork acquired popularity online, Leveille went one step farther. He had the GPT-3 software from OpenAI create a script to go along with them. The question? Link coming out as gay. The discourse it generates, such as “I’m not just the hero of time, I’m also the hero of gayness,” is excellent. We’d watch it once more. Just maybe not the one where an AI program’s voice is used for every word.

Compared to several other movie posters made with Midjourney and a related programme called DALL-E, this piece of art is undoubtedly less eerie. The Simpsons characters have also been rendered in the style of Midjourney. An intriguing application of AI is in this type of fan casting. We’re curious.
