UTA Signs ‘Borderlands’ Actress Haley Bennett

EXCLUSIVE: Actress, writer, and producer Haley Bennett has signed with UTA for representation.

Bennett made her film debut in the 2007 romantic comedy Music and Lyrics opposite Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore. Most recently, coming on the heels of her appearance in Lionsgate action-comedy Borderlands (released August 2024), Bennett starred in Samir Oliveros’ feature The Luckiest Man in America opposite Paul Walter Hauser, which premiered at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival and was quickly acquired by IFC and Sapan Studios.

Up next for Bennett is the Apple TV+ series The Last Frontier, where she stars alongside Jason Clarke. Directed by Sam Hargrave and John Curran, the series recently wrapped production and is set to premiere in March 2025. She is also co-writing a film titled After Midnight with Marteinn Thorsson, with David Cronenberg attached as co-producer.

Previously, Bennett starred in Fox Searchlight’s Magazine Dreamswhich won the US Dramatic Special Jury Award for Creative Vision at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival; MGM/Orion Pictures’ Tillopposite Danielle Deadwyler, directed by Chinonye Chukwu; and MGM and Working Title musical film Cyranodirected by Joe Wright – reprising her role from the stage play alongside Peter Dinklage, Ben Mendelsohn, and Kelvin Harrison Jr.

Bennett has also had starring roles in Ron Howard’s adaptation of the memoir, Hillbilly Elegyopposite Amy Adams and Glenn Close, and in Antonio Campos’ Devil All The Time opposite Tom Holland and Rob Pattinson. Additionally, Bennett has been seen in The Girl On The Traindirected by Tate Taylor, The Magnificent Seven, and The Equalizerthe latter two directed by Antoine Fuqua.

She has earned several prestigious accolades, including the Progressive Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2023 Rome Film Festival and Best Actress at the 2019 Tribeca Film Festival for Swallow, which also marked her producing debut. The accolades for Swallow continued with her nomination for Best Actress in a Horror Movie at the inaugural Critics Choice Super Awards.

Bennett will continue to be represented by Tavistock Wood, Shelter PR, and Brecheen Feldman Breimer Silver Thompson.
