Nigerian talent manager Ubi Franklin has shared his insights on the music industry, discussing the difficulties and possibilities that are emerging.

In a recent social media update, he mentioned the influence of the internet on music, stating that the industry is at a crucial moment.

Ubi Franklin recognizes that the internet has changed a lot, but he is hopeful about the music industry’s future.

He believes that the internet and social media are important for new artists to shine, pointing to successful musicians like Davido, Wizkid, and Burnaboy who have used these platforms to succeed.

He wrote:

“We are at a crossroads in the music business: with the rise of the internet, the world we live in has changed, and the past is not coming back. But I see the glass as half-full: the internet and social networking are new avenues for the next Davido, Iyanya, Burnaboy, Wizkid, Asake, rema, Ayra Star Tems Etc to be born on.”

In other news, A Nigerian father elicited strong reactions during his daughter’s wedding by making a striking declaration to the groom, asserting that she was a virgin and had never been intimate with any man, referring to her as “tear rubber.”

He further challenged the groom, stating that he could call him a “bastard” if he ever found this assertion to be untrue.

This statement was made during the wedding ceremony, with his daughter, the bride, and his wife by his side.

Speaking in Yoruba to the audience, he stressed that his daughter was untouched, comparing her to a “new” and unused item.

With conviction, he pounded his chest to emphasize the veracity of his statement. Although the audience erupted in laughter, he maintained a serious demeanor, reiterating his assurance to the groom that he stood by his claim and that the groom could contest it if proven otherwise.
