The Dancing With the Stars cast is once again receiving a curveball from the COVID pandemic.
According to our sister site Deadline, professional dancer Daniella Karagach, who is coupled with famous Joseph Baena this season, has tested positive for COVID and will miss this week’s programme, which airs Monday at 8/7c on Disney+. On this week’s programme, anyone who had direct touch with Karagach will also have their identity concealed.
A spokeswoman said in a statement that Karagach is “totally asymptomatic and is self-quarantining.” Everyone who had touch with her closely has tested negative, according to the report.
For this week’s Elvis-themed performance, dance troupe member Alexis Warr will be paired with Baena, the actor and bodybuilder best known as Arnold Schwarzenegger’s son. Baena and Karagach were ruled safe from elimination after receiving a score of 23 out of 40 for their jive in last week’s debut.
The COVID virus wreaked havoc on DWTS last season as well: Cody Rigsby and his professional partner Cheryl Burke both tested positive and had to perform that week’s routine separately via Zoom, and judge Derek Hough caught the virus right before the season finale, so his sister Julianne Hough stepped in to take his place.
