When his other wives learned that Christine was leaving him, “Sister Wives” star Kody Brown was worried about appearing “unmanly.”

Kody Brown termed his ex-wife Christine’s decision to leave him on Sunday’s episode of TLC’s “Sister Wives” a “injustice.” He added that he didn’t want to break the news to his three other wives, Meri, Janelle, and Robyn, because he thought it would make him seem “unmanly.”

 

In a solo interview with the cameras for the show, Kody said, “It feels like just this big injustice that is being done to me and it galls me.” He did make amends to Christine for his “angry” behaviour during their original conversation, which was captured approximately a month earlier and featured on the “Sister Wives” season premiere.

 

During the second conversation, where they discussed the specifics of their separation after more than 25 years of spiritual marriage, Kody said to Christine, “I need to be at a point where I can celebrate about your happiness and your freedom.

 

Season 17 of the long-running reality series, which was taped last year, is now showing the fallout from Kody and Christine’s breakup, which they made known to viewers in November.

 

The kindest thing Kody has said to me in years, Christine told the cameras, was his comment that he was “trying to support her” and that it made her feel good.

 

Kody said that the impending dissolution of one of his marriages was causing him such much anxiety that it was “curling” his toes.

 

He said, “I need some grieving counselling or something.” I’m unable to let go.

 

Later, Kody told the cameras that part of why he was finding it so difficult to accept Christine’s decision to leave was because she was about to upend the family he had fought so hard to create.

 

In addition, he admitted that he was reluctant to tell his other spouses about his breakup from Christine for fear of how it could damage their opinions of him.

 

“I feel unmanly, so I’m not gonna sit and go, ‘Hey, somebody’s leaving me,'” Kody said in an interview. “I don’t want to appear weak to my other wives. I thus don’t want to discuss it with them.”

 

He appeared to feel so strongly about it that he inquired with Christine about whether she wanted to speak with her sister wives “without” him.

 

Christine expressed to Kody her desire to maintain cordial relationships with Meri, Janelle, and Robyn. She eventually said, “I really need you there the first time.” Although she had taken the decision to depart, she stated she wanted her sister wives to know that she had spoken to Kody first before making any announcements.

 

The six-child mother said to the cameras that she anticipated the three ladies, with whom she had raised children for many years, would experience a complex jumble of emotions.

 

She asked the cameras, “Am I still a sister wife? The answer is no.

 

She said, “I can’t be their sister wife any longer.” I am able to be their friend. She stated that Robyn and Meri were “not really close,” and that she was most likely going to remain close to Janelle.
