“STAY ALIVE (Prod. SUGA of BTS)” became the highest-charting Korean language single by a solo artist since the rankings’ establishment.
Jungkook’s OST debuted at No. 95 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States.
Jungkook was honoured as the first Korean male artist to win a position on the coveted list of the world’s largest music market during its initial tracking period.
So far, the golden maknae is the fourth BTS member to chart as a solo artist on the Hot 100, including J-Hope (Chicken Noodle Soup), Suga (Girl of My Dreams with JUICE WRLD), and his alter persona Agust D (Daechwita) (Christmas Tree).
“STAY ALIVE (Prod. SUGA of BTS)” also achieved sales history by being the first Korean OST and the first K-pop solo debut to spend two weeks on the Billboard Digital Song sales list.
Meanwhile, the song reached No. 10 on Spotify’s Global list after receiving 18.8 million streams in its first week. Jungkook became the greatest worldwide debut for a K-pop solo artist in the platform’s history with the sum.
Following the release of the pensive OST, Jungkook broke a new world record as the fastest K-pop talent to gain one million Spotify followers in just 16 days, being the fastest K-pop act to do so.
