Nigerian music sensation Wizkid is gearing up to release his highly anticipated single, “Piece of My Heart,” on October 18. The award-winning artist announced the release date with an exciting post on Instagramcaptioned: “Oct 18th #pieceofmyheart.”

“Piece of My Heart” is expected to be part of Wizkid’s forthcoming album, “Morayo,” a project he has been teasing for several months. The track will feature American singer-songwriter Brent Faiyaz, adding to the excitement surrounding its release.

While fans eagerly await the single, Wizkid has not yet revealed the release date for “Morayo.” Earlier this year, he mentioned that the album would not follow the typical Afrobeats sound, sparking curiosity about its musical direction.

In recent days, the Grammy winner has made headlines for reigniting his feud with fellow artist Davidoparticularly after Davido announced his first single for 2024. Adding fuel to the fire, Wizkid also took a jab at Ademola Adeleke, Davido’s uncle and the governor of Osun State.

Born Ayodeji Balogun, Wizkid first rose to fame in 2011 with his debut album, “Superstar.” Since then, he has released four additional albums: “Ayo,” “Sound From The Other Side” (2017), “Made In Lagos” (2020), and “More Love, Less Ego” (2022). His contributions to music have earned him numerous accolades, including a Grammy Award in 2021 for his collaboration with Beyoncé on the hit song “Brown Skin Girl.”

Notably, “Made In Lagos” was recently declared the most streamed Nigerian album of all time on Apple Music, solidifying Wizkid’s status as a global music icon.
