Xiaomi has started selling the Redmi Note 12 trio in India roughly a week after unveiling the devices. Currently available through multiple retailers, the Redmi Note 12 series starts at INR 17,999 (~US$220) for the regular Redmi Note 12. Prices rise to INR 32,999 (~US$405) for the premier Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus configuration, though.
Xiaomi has commenced Redmi Note 12 series in India following the trio’s introduction last week. As perhaps could be expected, there is a gulf in price between the models, with the Redmi Note 12 approximately 60% the price of the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus. Xiaomi is also offering introductory discounts across all SKUs, as are retailers like Amazon and Flipkart.
To recap, the Redmi Note 12 is one of the first smartphones to utilise the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1, a 6 nm SoC with eight CPU cores and an Adreno 619 GPU also found in the Snapdragon 750G. Additionally, the Redmi Note 12 has a 6.67-inch OLED display, a 5,000 mAh battery and a 48 MP primary camera. Please see our Redmi Note 12 launch article for more details about the smartphone. The Redmi Note 12 Pro and Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus share numerous features, including a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chipset and a 5,000 mAh battery. However, the Redmi Note 12 Pro offers 67 W wired charging compared to the 120 W of which the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus is capable. Similarly, the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus has a 200 MP primary camera with 4x the pixels of the equivalent in the Redmi Note 12 Pro.
Currently, the Redmi Note 12 starts at INR 17,999 (~US$220) with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, down from INR 19,999 (~US$245). Meanwhile, Xiaomi has cut the Redmi Note 12 Pro from INR 27,999 (~US$343) to INR 24,999 (~US$306) for its cheapest configuration. In comparison, the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus starts at INR 27,999 (~US$343), an INR 3,000 (~US$37) saving. MSRP prices for the Redmi Note 12 series are as follows:
