Music executive Paul Okoye, popularly known as Paulo, has criticized human rights lawyer Deji Adeyanju for alleging that Burna Boy played a role in the recent arrest of singer Speed Darlington.
Speed Darlington, also known as Akpi, was arrested by officers of the Imo State Police Command in Owerri. This is his second detention this year. His previous arrest on October 4 led to a five-day detention before he was released on bail.
Adeyanju, in a post on X (formerly Twitter), suggested that Burna Boy was behind the arrest. Reacting to this, Paulo dismissed the claims, calling Adeyanju a “social media lawyer” and questioning his decision to implicate Burna Boy without evidence.
He wrote: “ Lawyer Deji or whatever they call you, can you put respect on Burna Boy’s name? Why are you even mentioning Burna Boy’s name?
“You are nothing more than a social media lawyer! Lawyer my a** Get your facts right before you open your gutter mouth. Control your client.”
