Flaunt Weeekly
Following the main mobile app earlier this yearYouTube Music for Android and iOS can now share a specific timestamp.
The app-specific Share sheet adds a small “Start at x:xx” toggle in the top-right corner. It uses the position/time when you tap the Share button. The following — t=XX [seconds] — is added to the URL:
This is most convenient for sharing podcasts, but can also be used for songs (or long concert recordings) if you want someone to listen to a particular part. It’s all nice for cross-YouTube applications consistency.
Timestamp sharing is widely available following a server-side update to YouTube Music for Android and iOS. It’s also available on the web.
(YouTube Music for Android’s share sheet has still not been updated to the floating, non-edge-to-edge style. This is the only component on Android and iOS to lack the new look.)
