Zoe Kravitz’s Catwoman receives her own ‘cat signal’ during her Saturday Night Live monologue.

On March 13, Zoe Kravitz, who played Catwoman in The Batman, made her hosting debut on Saturday Night Live. The actress presented a monologue alongside Saturday Night Live performers Kate McKinnon and Ego Nwodim costumed as different film incarnations of Catwoman after receiving plaudits for her performance as Selina Kyle as Catwoman in Matt Reeves’ flick.

After approaching the stage to host the programme, Kravitz began by jokingly discussing how she prepared for her role in the film “For a year, I watched the film musical Cats every day to prepare for the role. That’s how I heard Joaquin Phoenix getting ready to portray the Joker.”

Later, Kate McKinnon, dressed as Michelle Pfeiffer’s Catwoman, was spotted joining her on stage. Following that, McKinnon suggested that Catwoman, like Batman, should have her own signal, and introduced the same, after which Ego Nwodim, dressed as Eartha Kitt’s Catwoman, arrived on stage. The cat signal introduced not just these two characters, but also a “Cat Lady” (Aidy Bryant) and comic Katt Williams (Chris Redd).

After being distracted by all of these Catwomen, Zoe wrapped up her monologue quickly and announced that she will be joined on stage by musical guest Rosalia for the concert.

Kravitz previously discussed her hosting debut in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, stating that she was both anxious and excited about it.
