Vogue and its publisher, Condé Nast, are suing the rappers for forging a Vogue cover in order to promote their joint album Her Loss.
Drake and 21 Savage are in hot water because of their phoney Vogue cover.
The magazine is suing the musicians for impersonating the legendary fashion magazine’s cover in order to promote their new album Her Loss.
According to legal documents obtained by E! News, Condé Nast, the media company that publishes Vogue, claimed that by sharing a fraudulent cover on social media, the two rappers created a “widespread promotional campaign” that is “built entirely” on unlicensed Vogue trademarks.
The “Take Care” rapper, 36, shared an Instagram post on Oct. 30 that appeared to be a Vogue cover featuring himself and 21 Savage, 30.
He wrote in the caption, “My brother and I will be on newsstands tomorrow!!
Thank you for your love and support on this historic occasion, @voguemagazine and Anna Wintour.
Her death occurred on November 4th.”
Condé Nast is seeking at least $4 million in damages in addition to immediately discontinuing the use of the fake Vogue cover.
The rappers are also accused of distributing the fake cover not only to their 135 million combined social media followers, but also to “North America’s largest metropolitan areas,” as well as posters of the cover.
The company also stated in the suit that, despite Drake thanking Anna in his Instagram caption, the top editor has no connection to these images or the promotion of their album, calling it a “deceptive campaign.”

The suit also claims that Drake and 21 Savage were asked to “cease their infringing activities and take appropriate remedial measures to avoid further public confusion,” but they did not.
When E! News contacted Drake’s representative, he had no comment.
E! News reached out to 21 Savage’s representative but did not receive a response.
