Maren Morris and Brittany Aldean have a new feud as a result of Aldean’s recent transphobic remarks.

Morris has responded to Tucker Carlson’s interview with Jason Aldean’s wife on Fox News a week after she made a series of controversial comments about transgender children.

The feud between Maren Morris and Jason Aldean’s influencer wife, Brittany Aldean, continues.

The stars’ feud stems from a makeup video Brittany posted on Instagram on August 23 with the caption: “I’d like to express my gratitude to my parents for not changing my gender during my tomboy phase. I adore my girly life.” Morris later responded to the post by approaching Brittany and tweeting, “Isn’t it so simple to not be a scumbag human? Insurrection Barbie, sell your clip-ins and go.”

Brittany appeared on Tucker Carlson Tonight on Thursday to address the numerous transphobic comments she has made since her initial post. During her introduction, the host slammed Morris and her reaction to Brittany’s comments, calling her a “lunatic” and a “fake country music singer.”

Morris, on the other hand, continues to dig her heels in. She not only joked about changing her profile picture to a Photoshopped image of herself with a Tucker Carlson. Tonight, she wore a chyron that read “Lunatic country music person,” but she has also designed and released a new T-shirt that uses the phrase to criticise both Brittany and Carlson.

The black shirt bears Morris’ name, the slogan “Lunatic country music person,” and the Trans Lifeline phone number. Morris then tweeted that all merchandise proceeds would be split between the crisis hotline and the GLAAD Transgender Media Program.

Morris’ latest move comes just two days after Brittany, who has previously expressed her conservative views, released her own line of merchandise that appeared to reference Morris’ tweet referring to her as “Insurrection Barbie.” Brittany’s “Barbie-inspired” merchandise includes the phrase “Don’t Tread on Our Children.”

After Brittany posted her original makeup video on Aug. 23, her husband, Jason Aldean — who was dropped by his PR firm on Friday, per Billboard — replied to his wife’s caption about her parents not changing her gender, writing, “Lmao!! I’m glad they didn’t, because you and I wouldn’t have gotten along.”

Shortly after, The Voice alum Cassadee Pope appeared to make reference to Brittany’s controversial remarks in a scathing tweet, writing, “You’d think celebs with beauty brands would see the benefits of including LGBTQ+ people in their messaging.” Instead, we’re hearing someone compare their “tomboy phase” to someone who wants to transition. Very nice.”

Brittany replied to Pope by tagging her in a lengthy Instagram Story in which she reiterated her divisive remarks.

“One of the worst evils is advocating for genital mutilation of children under the guise of love and calling it ‘gender-affirming care,'” Brittany wrote in part, according to screenshots shared by E! News. “I will always stand by my children and do everything in my power to protect their innocence.” Love is protecting your child until they are mature enough to make their own life decisions as adults.

“I’m grateful my parents let me go through my tomboy phase without changing my gender,” she said. “Leave children alone until then!”

Morris then joined Pope in rebuking Brittany’s remarks, dubbing her “Insurrection Barbie.”
