Florence Pugh

Don’t Worry Darling actor Florence Pugh makes a cryptic comment about “pushing back and shouting “no,” on and off camera.”

Olivia Wilde and Star are said to have “fallen out,” according to rumours.

It’s “inspiring,” according to Florence Pugh, to “watch a woman push back and say ‘no,’ both on and off camera.”

While attending the Venice Film Festival premiere of her newest movie Don’t Worry Darling, the actor made the remark.

Don’t Worry Darling, which Olivia Wilde of Booksmart directed, features Pugh and Harry Styles. Reports of drama on the set of the movie have plagued it, including a rumoured “falling out” between Pugh and Wilde.

Earlier in the day, during a press conference, Wilde was questioned about the rumours. She said, “I can’t express enough how honoured I am to have her as our lead. She is fantastic in the movie, and as for all the hubbub online and the never-ending tabloid rumours, I mean, the internet feeds itself. I don’t feel the need to give because I believe it is fully fed.

In the past, the filmmaker claimed that the conflict was nothing more than “manufactured clickbait,” but Pugh has not responded to the rumours.

Pugh was questioned by an Italian journalist while walking the red carpet on Monday, September 5th, about what she found “inspiring” in the movie.

She responded, “I find it incredibly empowering to witness a woman push back, say “no,” and challenge everything. “Seeing a woman do that on and off camera is incredibly exciting.”

When asked when she “says ‘no'” off camera, Pugh humorously replied: when a person says, “I’m not allowed cake.”

Don’t Worry, Darling has received mixed reviews from critics thus far, but Pugh’s performance has nonetheless received accolades.

“This isn’t the disaster that some expected – but it is a confusing, complex affair with some pretty contrived plotting,” Geoffrey Macnab says in a three-star review for The Independent. As Jack, Styles surprises with a flat and underwhelming performance. Fair enough, he’s portraying a really lifeless character—a sort of Stepford husband.

Styles’ performance has received harsh criticism from other critics as well.
