Flaunt Weeekly
Drake continues trying to get back into the good graces of the zeitgeistthis time by giving fans exactly what they want.
The Canadian rapper took to Instagram on Tuesday (March 25) with a mini trailer for the visuals shown off entirely in Black and white. After traveling through what appears to be space and time, the otherworldly scenery gives way to a bright light that gives fans one message: “IMAX.”
The logo then transforms with the “a” getting replaced with the OVO Owl symbol. “‘NOKIA,’ March 31st, Directed by Theo $$$kudra, Filmed for IMAX,” Drizzy typed on his IG post. And while the video will finally be released on Monday (March 31), “NOKIA” became a fan-favorite cut way back in February.
The track appeared on Drake and PartyNextDoor‘s $ome $exy $ongs 4 Uand quickly established itself as a standout track of the collection of songs released. Early predictions from the “Talk of the Charts” platform are expecting that song to move up four spots and land at No. 5 on theBillboardHot 100 for the list dated to April 5, 2025.
As for the details of the video, little is known about what will happen in the visuals. However, the song itself is soaked in early 2000s nostalgia, with the title itself alluding to the ever-present phones that littered Y2K culture as cell phones began to take over.
“NOKIA” is a summer number produced by Elkan that has two parts — one jittery and floral, evoking a night out at the club with the other side slowing down the vibes, growing into a more sensual and intimate encounter as the song progresses.
