First-Look Pictures of The Walking Dead: Dead City, the Spin-Off at NYCC 2022 Starring Maggie and Negan

Dead City has replaced Isle of the Dead in The Walking Dead.

At the The Walking Dead panel at New York Comic Con 2022, the planned spin-off series The Walking Dead: Dead City, starring Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), debuted its first photos.

While we didn’t learn much more about the New York City-set series, the pictures do show some tension between Maggie and Negan, as well as some chic pictures of them in the streets.

The Walking Dead: Dead City has a new name now; it was formerly known as The Walking Dead: Isle of the Dead. The Big Apple is the major setting of the series, which is filled with both the living and the dead and was “long ago cut off from the mainland.”

Given that the final episode of the first season of The Walking Dead will air on November 20, 2022, this event marked the last NYCC panel for that series. The opening minutes of this week’s new episode as well as fresh images from the episode from October 16 were shown to the audience at the panel.

At the panel, Norman Reedus briefly discussed the planned spin-off starring his character Daryl and Melissa McBride’s Carol. In response to reports about her leaving the spin-off programme, he said “There has been much discussion. Chill. It will be all right.”

He briefly discussed the series and gave fans a preview of what to expect.

Located in France. Its scope is immense. It really is epic, I mean. I’ve visited scouted areas. What we’re going to do there is wild,” Reedus stated. “I predict that France will suffer a heart attack while ducking. It is different in both appearance and sound. There will be fun. There will be a number of recognisable faces. Do not shout at me.
