Christine and Kody Brown

Kody Brown remembers when he realised Christine was “serious” about leaving him in “Sister Wives.”

Kody Brown, Christine Brown’s 26-year-old husband, didn’t think she would actually go when she told him she was leaving their multiple marriage for good.

He didn’t start to take Christine, 50, seriously until she declined to publicly acknowledge their wedding anniversary.

The 53-year-old TLC reality star told up about the moment he knew his wife wasn’t going to change her mind during this week’s episode of Sister Wives.

He told the cameras that he had “asked her whether we wanted to publish anything on social media” on the day of the couple’s wedding anniversary in March 2021. “It was a test in a small way, but only to safeguard our children. She responds, “No.” And that was the first time I was able to say, “Oh, well, yeah, she’s serious about this,” in real life.”

Brown went on: “But I believe I’ll want to keep trying it. You never know when she’ll suddenly come to the conclusion that the life she’s trying to build somewhere else won’t be any better than what she already has.”

Christine said on Instagram in November of last year that her spiritual union with Kody was over. She previously lived in Flagstaff, Arizona, with her husband and his three wives, Meri, Janelle, and Robyn. Paedon, their son, is 24 years old. Their daughters Aspyn, 27, Mykelti, 26, Gwendlyn, 20, Ysabel, 19, and Truely, 12, are all their children. (Kody’s two wives together had 18 children.)

The day they exchanged “I dos” has lost significance for Christine. I’m not going to pretend for our anniversary, she said.

“I don’t even think of myself as being married to him anymore. We spoke around six weeks ago. I just stated, “I need you to release me.” It is done. I’m moving to Utah and I don’t want to be married to you any longer,” “She went on. “I’m not sure when it’s OK to speak with my sister wives. I’m not sure when I should tell Truely. I don’t think anyone truly understands how this will all turn out.”

Kody’s desire to avoid intimacy was one among several factors that contributed to the demise of their marriage.

Meri, Janelle, Christine, and Robyn Brown are all surrounding Bryant Livingston/TLC/Everett Kody Brown in the centre.

“Intimacy requires trust. In my universe, attraction requires trust “said he. “I believed she was being cruel. I was enraged because, in my opinion, you are unravelling multiple marriage for me, God, man. You are unravelling my entire life and my entire purpose. No. Until you understand this, we won’t be intimate. I wish I had replied, “We’ve got some things to work on.””

Due to COVID 10 procedures, Kody and the spouses have been isolating one another. Later in the show, they speak on Facetime to catch up on family concerns.

He added, “It appears like she’s actually trying to run our meeting while we’re having it. “She’s sort of trying to take control of things. She’s beginning to resemble a “independent lady” now. I don’t need you guys anymore, and I don’t have to truly submit to what the group wants, is the literal mentality.”
