MADHYAM USA also organizes classical art events, such as “Rhythm of Life,” festivals, and dance competitions, furthering Ms. Joglekar’s dedication to the arts.
Apart from these ventures, Ms. Joglekar’s journey into entrepreneurship began with the establishment of Archana Arts in 2001, where she has been exploring her passion for Indian classical art forms. Since 1996, she has also served as the president of DNA Movies, showcasing her versatility as a professional writer, actor, and director of television series and films. She is presently preparing to direct her next movie. Among her works, Ms. Joglekar choreographed and performed for Julia’s “Art and Ahimsa” project, which focused on nonviolence and art.
Beyond these professional accomplishments, Ms. Joglekar has conducted lectures and demonstrations at Princeton University for three consecutive years and taught her classical dance form at both Princeton University and Duke Universities. She is also a talented artist who enjoys drawing and painting. Furthermore, Ms. Joglekar is a trained classical singer and composer who enjoys playing musical instruments like the keyboard.
In preparation for her career, Ms. Joglekar received a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Mumbai. She later came to the U.S. in 1999.
Ms. Joglekar’s expertise in classical dance and Indian culture has been recognized through her professional endeavors and is celebrated through numerous awards in India, including several Best Actress awards and several additional accolades in the U.S. Ms. Joglekar’s cultural contributions have also been acknowledged by prominent figures and organizations, including receiving accolades from Governor Jon Corzine of New Jersey and being honored twice by the Consul General of India in New York.
