Flaunt Weeekly
Creamthe rising Parisian rapper you should already know, is back with a new single and music video. Entitled “Triple 7”, the powerful single sparks deep reflection on choices and destiny. Blending introspection and spirituality, the artist questions what truly drives us: fear or love?
“Don’t get along with the 666, still triple 7 is fine”
Set against a mesmerizing production of guitar, piano, and deep percussion (by Sutus, Ian Andria, Basile Peter and Tim Adamiec) Mikano’s track transcends genres, resonating as a mantra of self-belief and growth. Link to the single HERE.
Directed byMuziflowthe music video brings this inner journey to life through contrasting scenes: driving with friends on the open road, symbolising fate and movement, but also alone in an empty room surrounded by boxes, before being joined by his loved ones. A raw and intimate visual experience that draws us deep into his emotions and reflections.
Since the release of his EP “AKWA II” back in November 2022, Mikano has been experimenting a lot in the studio in order to create new types of sounds. Always mixing genres, Mikano has never felt so free and independent in his process, and with “Overthinking” released last year, “Triple 7” is just another great proof of this.
Mikano is a Paris-based rapper. Since the release of his first EP, Blind Man Dreams, in 2018, he has continually amazed with his energy, sensitivity, and blend of influences. With highly visual writing and a unique sense of rhythm, he documents through each project his personal evolution – between France,
Cameroon, Abu Dhabi, and Egypt where he grew up, as well as South Korea, with which he is developing a special creative connection.
An artist at the crossroads of genres, Mikano constantly explores new sonic and visual frontiers. Each of his music videos is conceived as an artistic experience or a cinematic piece, and with each new musical creation, he impresses with his maturity and mastery.
Since his AKWA series released in 2022 – titled in homage to the Douala neighbourhood in Cameroon where he is originally from – he has been evolving without constraints to reach the purest form of his creation. His music then becomes a personal form of introspection, a faithful transcription of what
he feels, and a synthesis of his encounters, relationships, and identity.
