It is said that the prices of Samsung’s next foldable will go up.
What’s important to know
A European store may have leaked the prices of upcoming Samsung devices by accident.
The prices of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 could go up.
Samsung’s next high-end earbuds might also be called something different than we thought.
Price was one of the main reasons why people didn’t buy the first models of Samsung’s foldable phones, but that changed when the new models came out last year. But the price of the next-generation Galaxy foldable devices might go up a little bit.
Gizpaw found that an online store in Europe seems to have put up prices for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4. (opens in new tab). The leak suggests that the prices of both devices will go up by a small amount compared to what they cost before.
The leaked listings show that the 256GB version of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 will cost €1,864, which is $65 more than the model from last year. Also, the price for the 512GB model is listed as €1,981.
According to the blog, the Z Flip 4 could cost €1080 for the 128GB version, €1158 for the 256GB version, and €1275 for the 512GB version (opens in new tab). On the other hand, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 cost €1,049 when it first came out.
The latest leak is in line with a previous rumor, which said that the clamshell foldable will come out in Europe and start at €1,080. If this is true, Samsung’s next phones that compete to be the best foldable phones might make some people not want to buy them when they come out.
Still, the rumored price hikes aren’t too surprising given the problems in the component and manufacturing supply chains right now. But if the price goes up, it will hurt Samsung’s efforts to make foldable popular.
The next Galaxy Buds Pro from Samsung could cost €225.90, which is the price of the other product that is coming soon. That’s about the same as last year’s model, but the rumored name is the most interesting piece of information. The Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, according to the store’s listing (opens in a new tab), is what the new earbuds will be called (instead of Galaxy Buds Pro 2 or Buds 2 Pro). But this could just be a mistake.
Take these bits of information with a grain of salt for now. On August 10, when Samsung has its next Galaxy Unpacked event, we’ll know for sure.
