According to sources cited by The Post, Kanye West has recruited Elon Musk’s lawyer Alex Spiro to represent him in his legal dispute with Gap.
Ye, a rapper, and the clothing retailer have been at odds over how much his Yeezy line costs and looks in Gap stores.
West stated his demand for Gap to “give me all the garments they are holding captive in the office and in the wash rooms” in an Instagram post on Monday.
He also referenced Alex Spiri, although sources informed The Post that he spelled his new lawyer’s name incorrectly.
West was unavailable for comment. Spiro remained silent.
Last week, West ended his collaboration with Gap, claiming the business had violated their contract during an appearance on CNBC.
West, sporting a big hat and sunglasses, told the network, “Everyone knows that I’m the leader, I’m the king.” “A king cannot reside in another’s fortress. A king is required to build his own fortress.
Gap was contacted by The Post for comment.
Spiro, a partner at Quinn Emanuel, is experienced in the art of rap. His clients include Jay-Z and Meek Mill.
While attempting to assist Musk in ending his $44 billion deal against Twitter, he will need to blend in with West. The trial’s five days start on October 17.
