Out now, ‘In The Blue Light’ flips the script once morecollating performances from her intimate run at New York’s fabled Blue Note club.
A storied name in jazz history, the resulting performances saw Kelela find fresh life within her material, throwing in a Joni Mitchell cover and a ‘Free Palestine’ cry.
Following the release of ‘In The Blue Light’, this new mini-documentary explores Kelela’s thirst for communication, her fondness for jazz, and how performing at the Blue Note was a long-held ambition for her.
