45ACIDBABIES have bounced back with their latest single, ‘Running In2 U’.
A playful, magnetic listen from beginning to end, the Dutch outfit are stitching together their conceptual sophomore record. Leaning into a bouncy, sparkling pop production, the band strengthen their songwriting with a disco-synth twist, situating their protagonist between a digital dystopia titled ‘Industry Inc.’
Over 12 tracks, 45ACIDBABIES’ upcoming album zones into a tale of self-expression, venturing into themes of queerness, neurodiversity and community. Made up of Sob-, Robin de Geus, Daniël Brem and Nina Miège, the outfit draw together their vision for graphic arts, electronic production and performance to form their own neon-lit universe.
A quirky and addictive offering from 45ACIDBABIES, ‘Running In2 U’ continues to grip the outfit’s cult following as they expands towards new directions.
Speaking on the track, 45ACIDBABIES detail…
“‘Running In2 U’ tells the story of a character in a shooting game who is looking for more to life than shooting at the unknown,” explains the band. “The character is looking for connection. The sense of community and safety is a recurring theme in the story of 45ACIDBABIES and ‘Paint The World Pink’ in particular.”
