UK songwriter Alice Costelloe has shared her solo EP ‘When It’s The Time’ in full.
The musician has been on our radar for some time, since her role in cult London outfit Big Deal, in fact. Taking time out to configure her solo vision, Alice Costelloe linked with producer Mike Lindsay – Tunng, LUMP – to bring these ideas to fruition.
Her melodic approach remains astute, with the lyrics scraping away layers of her life, propelled by a commitment to honesty.
Out now, new EP ‘When It’s The Time’ is littered with highlights, and its maker comments:
“In a way, it’s about endings, moving on from old relationships, and contemplating the end of life and the end of the world, but it’s also about desire – desire to dance or drink a glass of wine with someone, but also desire to figure out how to make yourself a better life in a world that often feels apocalyptic.”
