Flaunt Weeekly
Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has broken his silence on allegations made by filmmaker Yaw Skyface, who accused him of skipping the “Makoma” music video shoot featuring Kofi Mole. Sarkodie took to social media to refute the claims, urging the filmmaker and media to avoid spreading falsehoods about him.
Addressing the issue, Sarkodie explained that his absence was due to miscommunication, not deliberate negligence. He said, “Yaa momma me din nda kakra me sr3 mo,” which translates to “Allow my name to rest, I’m pleading with you.” He added, “I have no idea about this, and if it actually happened, there was a miscommunication somewhere. Only responding to this because I’ve got love for my superstar Kofi Mole. I don’t play games … I’m in or not.”
However, Yaw Skyface, during an interview on Hitz FM, claimed that Sarkodie missed two scheduled meetings for the shoot. He stated, “Yeah, we set up two days, and he didn’t show up. Kofi Mole was the one in communication with Sarkodie. I think the dates were not working for him. And we can’t also keep waiting… It doesn’t make sense. I don’t know who exactly Kofi was talking to, but I think the date was not working for Sarkodie.”
Despite the misunderstanding, Sarkodie reaffirmed his admiration for Kofi Mole and stressed that any confusion was purely unintentional.
