Jennifer Garner went to Lake Tahoe, California, on her ex-husband Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez’s wedding day. But don’t worry, a new report from Page Six last night made it clear that Garner knew Affleck and Lopez were getting married before the rest of the world did, and before the couple got married in Las Vegas on Saturday night.
The news outlet was told by a “well-placed Hollywood source” that Garner knew about the event one day before it happened. “Ben did tell Jen about the wedding, but I’ve heard that he didn’t do so until at least Friday. It was barely planned ahead of time, and most of it happened on the spot. [Affleck and Garner’s daughter, who is 16 years old] Violet stayed at home because she loves her mother very much.
This source also said that Lopez was eager to marry Affleck: “[Lopez] has been ready to get married since the night Ben proposed. She wanted to make sure that no one would change their mind as soon as possible. (Affleck and Lopez put off their wedding a day before it was supposed to happen 20 years ago. They broke up soon after, but got back together last year.)
Even though Garner is out of town, she is happy about Affleck’s relationship with Lopez.
A source told E! in April what Garner thought about Affleck and Lopez getting engaged. A person close to Garner said, “Ben told Jen and the kids, so they knew about it.” “Jen is happy for Ben and knows that in some ways, J.Lo has been a good influence.”
Late in March, a source told Entertainment Tonight how Garner felt about Affleck and Lopez being close to getting engaged. “Jen Garner and Ben get along well. “She is okay with Jen and Ben’s relationship and backs it up,” the source said. “She knows that Ben is doing well in every way, and at the end of the day, all she wants is what’s best for the kids and for everything to go smoothly. She wants everyone to be happy and healthy, but her kids are always her top priority. At this point, everyone is happy and looking forward to what will happen next.”
